Dare Me to Stay is officially DONE!!!

I am so beyond excited and I cannot wait to share this book with you!!! It came out better than I ever imagined and it is hands down my favorite book I’ve written so far…

You’re not supposed to have favorites… but I think Koen might be mine… 😏

Dare Me to Stay is a wild ride of emotions and plot twists I promise you won’t see coming. I found myself really connecting with both Koen and Briar, especially Koen and the whole O’Rourke clan as well and I think that really comes out in this book.

Briar’s character art still isn’t done… I had to skip last Friday’s art night to finish the manuscript… so sorry!!! 🤪 But I still wanted to share the work in progress along with a Briar quote.

And as Koen would say…

To the best editor in the world…

While we’re on the topic of people we are grateful for… I’m wildly grateful to my editor, Nicole DiPatri Sheldon, who deserves a medal, a bottle of wine, and possibly hazard pay for surviving my plot twists and late-night revision spirals.

She not only got the Dare Me to Stay copy-edits done in record time, but let me send them to her as I finished them. And toward the end, I was giving updates chapter by chapter and when I tell you she was RUNNING to the next update! 😂

Nicole’s insight, precision and unwavering support has elevated this story. Her guidance, patience and belief in this story has carried me through every doubt-filled moment and gave me the confidence I needed to finish the book.

It’s DONE!

I’m spending the week getting as much of the copy edits done as I can before the manuscript goes to the Beta Reader Team on 12/1.

Of course there’s some clean up and polishing to be done and a few notes in the draft that need fixing but WE ARE ALMOST THERE!
