In the Trenches UpdateProgress is happening! The words are stacking up; the characters are yelling at me (in the best way), and the story is finally feeling like it has a heartbeat. Although I’m a little scared, book 2 is tracking longer than originally intended… (I’m not panicking, YOU are panicking) That said, there’s still a lot of work ahead. Some days the draft feels like it’s flying, and other days I stare at my laptop screen wondering why the hell I thought writing a book was a good idea. That, combined with the pressure of following up such a successful debut… *Imposter Syndrome* has entered the chat. Right now, I’m somewhere in that chaotic middle ground, where I’m making progress, but I also know there’s still plenty of polishing, editing, and probably a few plot twists (from me and the characters) to wrestle through. If they could just stick to the script… that would be GREAT! I’m also super excited about my brand new 6x4 white board my husband and I wrestled home in my little Totoyta Camry last week. I can’t wait to have ALL. THE. VISUAL. THOUGHTS. It really helps me to visually see things laid out and it’s also the reason I create a lot of concept art and utilize pinterest boards as part of my writing process.
