Finally, finally, FINALLY I finished some penalty box art. I’ve drawn this scene soooo many times, but I just couldn’t get it right. But I am pretty pleased with the way this came out. Especially the way he’s looking at her.

And let’s just take a moment to admire his hair… Hair has been SO HARD for me to both sketch and paint… but I think I’ve finally started to round the corner on that. Meaning I didn’t have to paint hair in this piece 349823509879408590 times, delete and try again until it looks good enough 🤪

Digital art is 100% a learning process. I’ve learned so much from watching youtube tutorials and following artists who post process videos and tutorials on their Patreons. I try and watch one new art video a week and apply what I’ve learned in that week’s art piece.

And I’m pretty damn proud of this one, I gotta say. I’ve really been focusing on improving my line art, as well as my skin, and hair rendering. And in this piece, I actually discovered my own new way of blending tattoos, which I think REALLY improved how Aidan’s tattoos came out.
